Michelle Nelson, CPA, CFE, MST
Managing Shareholder
Michelle is the Managing Shareholder. She has over 36 years of accounting, auditing, and tax consulting experience. Michelle specializes in not-for-profit organizations and construction related companies. She has assisted in turning small organizations into large multi-million-dollar organizations. Our client base includes small to multi-million dollar companies. She can assist in all accounting, tax and attestation needs of your organization.
Tish Gabri
Audit Manager
Tish Gabri has worked in public accounting for 10 years and is the Audit Manager. She specializes in nonprofit tax and auditing. She assists small to large organizations in all accounting, tax and attestation needs.
Katsi Sysova
Tax Manager
Katsi has more than six years of experience in public accounting, assisting both for-profit and not-for-profit clients. She has worked with small as well as large companies and has vast knowledge in all aspects of the accounting needs of our clients. She offers valuable support in tax preparation, planning, and compliance as well as accounting.

Accounting & Administrative Coordinator
Prior to coming to work at Nelson & Associates, Cindy worked as the Controller for two large construction corporations for 21 years. Cindy was responsible for all the accounting and preparation for audited financial statements. Cindy now leads the accounting department specializing in month-end close and difficult accounting projects.
Heidi Li, CPA
Audit Manager
Heidi Li, CPA works as Audit Manager. She has specialized in auditing for over 15 years. The past eight years has been devoted to auditing nonprofit entities. Previously, she audited for the State of California: grant audits, sales tax audits, financial statement audits, and was lead auditor on a bank investigation.
Nicole Baraga
Client Service Specialist
As a highly organized and solutions-driven Client Service Specialist, Nicole Baraga brings over 15 years of Executive Administration experience to her role. Known for her attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities seamlessly, she supports both clients and internal teams with professionalism and a positive, can-do attitude. Nicole plays a key role in client onboarding, document preparation, and maintaining efficient office operations. Whether coordinating tax filings, managing communication, or ensuring deadlines are met, she is committed to delivering exceptional service and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
